Distribution areas: Indian Ocean, Malay Peninsula, Australia, Philippines, East China Sea, South China Sea. It is found in abundance in the western part of Taiwan.

Characteristics: Fish scales are very delicate, feed on many types of food, found in muddy places filled with rocks or dense seaweed places, commonly found in estuaries and under oyster shells and near shallow water, the appearance of fry is frequent in semi-salt areas. Poisonous glands and cause pain if stabbed by them.
