Distribution: Distributed only in Korea, Japan, southern China, Vietnam, the southwest coast of Taiwan, and Ping Khu.
Characteristics: The yellow grouper has 6 horizontal stripes on the head, side of the body, and caudal fin. Small orange dots appear in the lower half of the head and side of the body. The rest of the body has small gray dots, and a clear yellow side appears in the fin. Dorsal and caudal fin edge. Yellow grouper is one of the wild fish in Taiwan, and because of its small size, it does not get much attention in the consumer markets. As for the Ping Khu region, it has become a distinctive fish for this region. It has a special delicious taste when it is steamed or smeared with soy sauce, and the Fu Diang and Guangdong regions have specific consumer markets, as they are types of grouper with popular consumption.
